JOSEPH KINDLE & NANCY MORROW 4G Uncle JOSEPH KINDLE younger brother of DAVID KINDLE, was born in Virginia probably around 1792. Joseph Kindle served during the War of 1812, along with brother David Kindle, in the Company of Capt. THOMAS McCONNELL. On 28 Jan 1824 in Brown County, Ohio, he married NANCY MORROW, who was born around 1800 in Ohio, and is the daughter of JAMES MORROW, who died ca 1847 in Johnson Co, Indiana. Joseph and Nancy moved to Nineveh Twp, Johnson County, Indiana sometime between 1840 and 1845, and there were five known children born to them between 1828 and 1845, and possibly others. According to the History of Johnson Co 1888, by Brant and Fuller, and Historical Sketch of Johnson County, by DD Banta, there was a JOHN KINDLE from Ohio and settled in Nineveh Twp, Johnson Co, Indiana, around 1827. His name was mentioned along with some others who were known to be from Brown Co, Ohio, but as yet we have not been able to determine if he is related. |
